Hello, and welcome to another issue!
In this issue, you'll find:
3 recommendations for acquisition channels to test out
3 marketing newsletters you should be following
Open marketing roles that you can apply to
And a list of recent interesting articles that some of you shared
Diving in, I've viewed this year as an opportunity to test out some out-of-the-box thinking when it comes to acquisition and growth. It's more important than ever to stick to the core marketing principle of KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER.
Where they "hang out" (virtually or otherwise), the way they speak, the biggest sources of influence on their business decisions.
The specific channels you pick are a huge part of successful acquisition. Here are 3 channels you should check out.
1. Affiliate Marketing:
Shopify reports an average 58% increase in annual customer revenue for ecommerce businesses that use affiliate marketing. But an increasing number of both B2B and B2C companies are launching or expanding affiliate programs.
Looking for examples? Check out SEMRush, Amazon, HubSpot, WP Engine, ConvertKit, and RewardStyle.
2. AI Content Marketing:
This option sits somewhere between affiliate marketing, native ads, and CPC. Basically you're able to bid to place links to your site or products with publishers and influencers across the web. That includes articles that rank top in search results and YouTube videos with thousands or millions of views.
You can learn more by checking out companies like Narrativ or Skimlinks, which are already used by brands like Dermstore, Samsung and Supergoop!.
3. Livestream Events & Shoppable Video
Virtual buyer experiences are quickly becoming a focal point for digital marketing and sales. If you've seen the livestream shopping videos that Amazon now highlights, you know what I'm talking about. A few days ago Twitter announced that Walmart will be the first brand testing its new Live Shopping feature. Pinterest offers shoppable video on its app.
You can start testing virtual buyer experiences with native livestream tools on social media or with dedicated apps like Popshop or Amazon Live.

3 Marketing Newsletters You Should Check Out
I've subscribed to at least 100 different newsletters in the past year and a half. I love reading different styles to figure out how to make mine better.
So here are 3 newsletters I subscribe to that stand out from the rest:
1. The Menu: Culinary-school-grad-turned-marketer Amanda Natividad writes and curates content about marketing and creativity. Plus she includes screenshot interviews and original recipes (I love her garlic pasta)! Trust me, this is one you don't want to miss as Amanda is one of the fastest rising voices in marketing and business. Subscribe here.
2. B2B Bite: If you're looking for smart B2B insights, Jason Bradwell has established himself as the preeminent go-to. His newsletter is a favorite for writers at Morning Brew, if that gives you any indication of the level of quality you can expect from him. Subscribe here.
3. No Longer Overlooked: Tech entrepreneur and VC Janine Sickmeyer has a pretty awesome newsletter that covers marketing, business, and topics related to inclusive culture. I adore how much information she shares about no-code tools and resources for anyone interested in starting their own business. Subscribe here.
